Shirley S. Walker

Shirley S. Walker, 87, of Elderton, PA, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning, PA.

She was born May 6, 1937 in Waynesburg, PA to Raymond and Helen (Cummins) Shriver.

Shirley was employed in the cafeteria of Elderton School with the Armstrong School District. She was a member of the Elderton United Methodist Church and the Kittanning Eastern Star. Shirley enjoyed going to camp in Potter County with her family and loved to cook breakfast for everyone before the deer drives. She enjoyed caring for her family, especially her grandchildren and was a wonderful mother to a lot of people.

Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband, Thomas Lee Walker, whom she married on Sept. 1 .1956; her sons, Brian Walker and wife, Cindy of Kittanning and Eric Walker and wife, Lesa of Indiana, PA; her daughter, Brenda Hetrick and husband, Gary of Harrison City; her sister, Janice Haught of Kittanning; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Charles A. Shriver and Robert Shriver.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of services at 1 PM on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024 at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main St., Elderton, PA. with the Rev. Craig R. Lindahl officiating.
